On the 5th of August 1997 in the KSTU there was opened the Information Tech-nologies and Computers College.
The first specialties at the college were “Communication networks and commu-tation systems”, “Automated systems of information processing and control”, “techni-cal maintenance and repairing of radio-electronic devices” which are still prior at the market of educational services.
At the college the training was conducted by the teachers of the KSTU with a great working experience and the leading specialists of the OJSC “Kazakhtelecom”.
In 1998 at the KSTU there was opened the Electrical Mechanical college on the base of the electrical mechanical faculty, where specialists were trained in three spe-cialties: “Electrical supply”, “Technological processes and productions automation”, “Transport electrical equipment exploitation and railway transport automatics”.
In 1999 at the KSTU there was opened the College of construction business on the base of the Civil construction faculty according to the license received for paid educational services in the following architectural and building disciplines: “Design”, “Management (in construction)”, “Marketing (in construction)”, “Technical mainte-nance and repair of mechanization and automation means (in construction)”, “Mount-ing and exploitation of internal sanitary means and ventilation”, ”Garden-and-park and landscape construction”. In the professor-and-teaching staff there were professors and professor-assistants, as well as members of the Union of architects, painters and de-signers of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
At the end of 1999 with the aim to improve specialists training for secondary professional education and to improve colleges work they were combined into the Col-lege of information technologies and business at the KSTU.
The college is one of the structural department of the University where there are trained qualified specialists of the middle section in the day, correspondence and shortened forms of teaching in the state and Russian languages in specialties:

-Transport electrical equipment
-Exploitation of transport electrical equipment and automation (in transport types)
-Automation of technological processes and productions
-Automated systems of information processing and control (in branches)
-Computer and automated systems software
-Communication networks and commutation systems
-Maintenance and repair of radio-electronic devices (in branches)
-Mounting and exploitation of internal sanitary engineering means and venti-lation
-Garden-and-park and landscape construction
The ITB College is presented modern teaching-and-methodic and material bases of the KSTU: special subject classes, a laboratory complex, modern computer classes, the library book fund, a sports complex, the professor-and-teaching staff of the KSTU.
