In 1996 there was opened the technical lyceum of the KSTU which is an educational school of a new type, realizing the principle of continuous education with the prior teaching humanitarian-and-mathematic and technical subjects.
The main purposes and tasks of the whole common-educational activity of the lyceum are:
-forming optimal conditions to get secondary education for the lyceum students
-learning not less than three languages: the state, Russian and a foreign ones
-deepened training in profiling disciplines
-forming optimal conditions to develop creative potential of the students and training an intellectual and poly-cultural person.
At the lyceum there are propagated and introduced the principles of health life, ethno-pedagogics, the work is being carried out in legal education, there are formed all the conditions to develop creative abilities in every student, forming professional and common-cultural competency, education of patriotic feelings, love and faithfulness to Motherland, sovereign Kazakhstan.
In the technical lyceum there works mainly the professor-teaching staff.
To conduct practical and laboratory classes there are at the students disposal the University teaching-and-laboratory bases, libraries, reading halls, computer classes and a rest zone “Politechnik”.
